You will see from the foregoing that there are some former residents of Hong Kong, who lost their homes in that Colony as a result of the war, now resident in Australia who cannot be granted any compensation by the Government of Hong Kong or by His" #ajesty's Government and who are in very difficult circumstances. Such casen so far brought to our notice are those of

4. Mr. G.J. Bird and his wife, who are both over sixty years of age, were interned in Hong Kong and on release went to Australia where Krs. Bird has since been receiving constant medical attention.
